Walking and driving around San Pedro in Chile, you’d be forgiven for thinking that you were on another planet. Mars maybe…?
Dusty red paths and craters overlooking old buildings from the archeological site of Tulor, mountains bursting with colours of blue, green, red and yellow.
The rock formations are difficult to place- you wonder how on earth were they formed? The Chileans remind you that it is a result of finding yourself over a very active fault line.
Other than that, we enjoyed walking around the town, a small place of about 5,000 people, an oasis amongst the driest place in the world!
Star gazing using expert equipment, gigantic telescopes, we were able to see Saturn and its rings!! The moon looked so bright, we saw so much detail! This had to be one of our favourite experiences in South America!
